Ever needed to get excel schedules into autocad as autocad entities? Well AutosXeduLe is the solution. It is free. It is an open source excel vba solution. It was written by members of www.vbdesign.net . The forums at vbdesign are all about answering questions about Autocad Automation with VB/A. The microsoft office object model is also supported. The site is free and has no banner ads, no pop-ups and is run entirely on donations. It is a great community. I suggest you all check it out. Follow this link to get to the forums. Look for the link in the thread that shows where you can get your free copy of AutosXedule.

RE: Change Excel Schedules into Autocad Blocks

Hi...

It is true, the forum vbdesign is one of the best that I know... Really in the forum of VBDESIGN there are beasts of the programming with AutoCAD...

NOTE: jschultz, are you proven the program AutoXlsTable?. If he doesn't find the file *. xls that has been exported AutoCAD by means of the program AutoXlsTable, the program makes the file, and that impressed me...

RE: Change Excel Schedules into Autocad Blocks

I have been using "spanner" for many years now.  It creates a block of the excel sheet that can be updated as you update the spreadsheet. If you go to http://www.wfcadtools.com/span40.htm you can see the product. It's $100 but it's worth it. Free stuff is great, but for $100 you'll get a payback in the first use.

I have used spanner in the past also. It was a very good program. But, it is very limited in its abilities compared to AutosXeduLe.
Spanner does not do diagonal lines.
Spanner does not do merged cells.
Spanner does not do hatching.
Spanner does not work the same on office XP as office 2K
The list goes on and on.

Plus, why would you spend $100 when you can get it for free with more options. You have the source code so you can add any other features you like.
