Hi all
I am operating a 6 mw steam boiler . Boiler is 3 pass wet back and fired with woodbark( wood from rubber tree) or wood that are treated with some woodtreatment chemical.MAWP is 10 bars. THe boiler has a seperate  watercooled wall and firebrick combustion chamber. I must stop the boiler every 10 days to cleanout all the cake that on the tube sheet( near the end of flue pipe (1 st pass)).Anyone who have solution please give me a suggestion. Thankyou.

RE: formimg cake on tube sheet

Hi aaaaaaa

Sorry I can't answer your question but I was wondering if you have any clear general arrangement drawings/sketches of wet-back boilers you could give me that I could use for a little project I am doing regarding the features and operation of small boilers.

RE: formimg cake on tube sheet

How about steam or air soot blowers?

RE: formimg cake on tube sheet

IMHO:
a.Check if you have tube leaks.
b.Is your mixture set right? O2
c.Fire your boiler harder.
d.Can you fire with another fuel until the boiler is up to temprature?

I would start here, then explore other items.

RE: formimg cake on tube sheet

Realy very interested subject..

I think i am able top give you important assistance..
However before doing that i need some onformations..
(1) Specification of your boilers and manufacturer.
(2) Specifivation of your burning fossil.
(3) If stean or air blowing is applied.
(4) What kind of cleaning and what method are you applying untill now, and whow much time you need to clean each boiler.

Please revert..
