Diesel Engines and V-belts?

Diesel Engines and V-belts?

Diesel Engines and V-belts?

(OP)
I'm looking for comments (good or bad) relating to powering a liquid ring vacuum pump with a diesle engine using v-belts.  Is the choice of v-belts a wise decision or is here a more practical way?

RE: Diesel Engines and V-belts?

Liquid ring vacuum pumps are commonly driven with v-belts from electric motors.  The diesel engine may need a drive shaft designed to support the side loads caused by the v-belts.  Both are straight-forward power transmission methods.

If you need more information, call me at 641-423-9363 with more details about your application.  Good Luck, Paul Juhnke, Maintenance Engineering Services.
