(OP)
Does anyone know if there is a supplier of stainless steel fibre mesh reinforcing for concrete? I have a client who is very concerned about deterioration of the concrete in the expansion joint block out of bridges. Typically we find post pour cracking(probably shrinkage) and this owner has requested that we explore steel fibres, particularly stainless steel fibres.

RE: Stainless steel fibre mesh

If the client wants to use a fiber, use polypropylene, polyester or polyethylene fiber instead of stainless steel. Consult ACI for further information.

RE: Stainless steel fibre mesh

polyester, nylon, polyethylene fibers in the long term not suitable for concrete because of alkali envorimental, but polypropilene is ok. consult merbas@garanti.net.tr
