DOES ANYONE HAVE A COPY OF ANSI B31.1-1967 EDITION? I NEED TO CHECK THE MINIMUM THICKNESS CALCULATION. THANKS.

RE: ANSI B31.1-1967 EDITION

Samuelliu:

According to Navco's piping datalog 1966 edition the formula for minimum thickness is:

Per ASA piping code B31.1 (This is now ASME B31.1)

Tm = PDo / 2(SE+ Py) + A     (A is added thickness)

This is the same formula which is in ASME B31.1 now.
