Biaxial oriented SAN

Biaxial oriented SAN

Biaxial oriented SAN

(OP)
Who knows whether plastic plates from SAN are stretched biaxial?
The thickness should amount to 2 to 5 mm.
The sheets would have to be better than biaxial stretched h-PVC (e.g. ONDEX from Solvay) or PET.

RE: Biaxial oriented SAN

I am not aware of the biaxial streching,
But I can give one application.
We are using SAN material in place of PC where we wanted the translucent dark blue colour of requriement and also the strength. We were able to match the colour. This component is been moulded.
Strength is surely less than that of PC but was sufficient for our requirement.
