Cam Mates in 2001

(OP)
I have been running Solidworks 2001 since I began working for my present company with relative success. I have read about using cammates in a number of the forum discussions, but have never been able to implement them. Recently I looked into the matter a little more seriously and found that a prior employee must have "lifted" whatever downloads were not kept or stored away by the computer guru here.

It seems we upgraded from 98 to 98+ to 99 to 2000 and then 2001, but never implemented any SP's since the machine I work at is 2001 SP0.

Is there a way to get the later SP's for 2001 without fully upgrading to 2003? We are quite happy with 2001, but cammates would come in handy with some of our newer projects. I don't feel management would approve the cost to upgrade to the current release at this time.

Thanks,
Dennis

RE: Cam Mates in 2001

I think you need SW01+ to get the Cam mates option. If you go to SW01+ your better off with SP6.0 because there were some problems in earlier SP of SW01+. SP6 was the best SP SW offereed for SW01+.

You should contact your VAR they can get SW01+ and the SP for you.
