Fortran Compiler
Fortran Compiler
(OP)
I am thinking of replacing my old Fortran compiler since I have difficulty getting it to run properly under Windows 98. I currently have Microsoft Power Station 1.0 which is a DOS based program and is no longer supported by Microsoft (sold to Digital).
My question is should I buy a new Fortran compiler or go with Visual Basic.

RE: Fortran Compiler
Now, you have to buy what is know as COMAPQ VISUAL FORTRAN, now version 6.x (x =not sure).
However, if you do not use lots of library routine, and your programs are not exhaustive calculations, like solving ODE/PDE using IMSL or so, you are free to go ahead with VB/VBA. In fact that will be better choice, as user like to have good 'look & feel' for the interface. But, it does not matter if you are the only one who will use it.
Any further question.. let me know..
