12" spacing on studs with DFP plywood in canadian codes

12" spacing on studs with DFP plywood in canadian codes

(OP)
Has anyone determined how to ensure that a 18.5mm DFP plywood  panel will pass current Canadian rquirements for a standard type formwork?  I want to use  12" o.c. studs using a 48kpa load with 25% increase for pumped concrete and a 1.5 live load factor of safety.

I know 8" o.c. will work out o.k. but the contractor wants to go wider.

The code is inicating a failure in planar shear capacity due to bending for the DFP.

thanks

John
