There is any way to use a soft starter for single phase motor.?

The problem is :

A generator 220 V 50 Hz rated at 8KVA .

Two refrigeration  semihermetic motocompresor with a full load ampere of 9 to 11 amp

The gen is able to start only one of them but it can not start the other.

I was thinking on a soft start system.

The motor start by a amperometric relay, with start electrolitic capacitor.

Thank in advance.

RE: single phase soft starting

It is possible to mke soft starters for single phase motors. The best results are achieved with capacitor start motors. The results with induction start are not as good.
I suggest that you search for a manufacturer of such a product.
