RE: s/s cutting 8MM on a prima with a 2.5kw slab laser

keep your focal point at the bottom surface or 1 mm below the material and use the 10mm gas param to start with. whats your focal lens. nozzle dia

RE: s/s cutting 8MM on a prima with a 2.5kw slab laser

Drop your focus between 1/2 to 2/3 material thickness.  Use a 7.5" Focus Lens, a 3.0 mm Single nozzle, cutting nozzle gap of 0.012" or closer (if machine allows), use about 14 to 15 Kg of pressure.

Remember that the deeper your focus, the slower the speed.  Usually Rule of Thumb for Clean Cutting Materials is focus negative 1/2 to 2/3 material thickness.

Good Luck
