Footing - Water Issue ?

Footing - Water Issue ?

Footing - Water Issue ?

(OP)
I’m working on a Residential footing (monolithic slab, two story, vinyl siding) and have a water issue approximately 12” below the footing.  We did DCP testing in all 4 corners from 0 to –4 feet below the footing and DCP values were solid (one 8 and the rest 10+).  The soils are suitable (PI<25 ~ 16) but plastic (these are residual soils). The next day, the boreholes had water about 12” below the footing.

I’m thinking about making this a “waffle Slab”  by placing grade beams (12”x12” with 2 #4 rebars) on a grid pattern spaced no more than 10 feet apart for additional support.

Is there anything else I should do?
