Drage force on "shielded" components

Drage force on "shielded" components

(OP)
I just finished reading TowerEngineer's thread. Good stuff.

I'm trying to apply a relevant spec (TIA-222-F) to towers with antennas on them. I'm doing OK with the antennas but I'm not sure about "shielded" tower members. Other than to say that "shielding of antennas shall not be considered", the spec appears silent on the issue of shielding of tower members.

It seems to me that the members that are shielded by the antennas could be omitted but what about members which are in the "shadow" of other members?

Any wisdom to share?
