Hovercraft Project
Hovercraft Project
(OP)
I'd like to pose a problem to all of you out there:
You have two sheets of galvanized of approximately one cm in thickness.
You have approximately 63 cm of 3 inch diamtere aluminum pipe.
You have unliminated hosing.
You have a four-way directional control valve with solenoid actuator
You have 60 more dollars to expend on brand new material.
Can you build a hovercraft?
After I get enough responses, I'll post my little solution.
Thanks All,
Ali Ahmad, President Materials Engineering Club at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology

RE: Hovercraft Project
i think i have done a hovercraft project with almost similar conditions. the only hunch is the power source to generate the pressure. if you want the hovercraft to move around in a limited volume, yes , i have already done it. if you want the hovercraft to be unconstrained, it is little difficult. also, things depend on the pay load capacity. i donot know what load values you have set.
