Lubrication Equivalent Chart

Lubrication Equivalent Chart

(OP)
Does anyone know of a website that posts a lubrication equivalent chart?  I am looking for one that lists lubrication equivalents from a broad range of manufacturers.  Thanks

PDY

RE: Lubrication Equivalent Chart

I have a fair amount of grease interchange information built up over years in the bearing trade. Can you be more specific? i.e. What products do you have and what manufacturers do you have locally? I assume you are trying to find local equivalents to some specified lubricant?

The larger lubricant manufacturer's are also usually very helpful in this regard.

RE: Lubrication Equivalent Chart

I would try searching on "nlgi grease" and see where it take
you as far as your search.  There are thousands of greases,
oils, etc.  Lester Milton is quite right about being more
specific.  If you have some specification to search on
either military or whatever it would help to know that too.

RE: Lubrication Equivalent Chart

Plant Engineering Magazine published a rather complete cross reference of all major companies.

RE: Lubrication Equivalent Chart

Good morning everyone
I am a rotating machinery designer
Especially, I usually design shaft and bearing for medium or small size machine.

But I have to design them for large size machine newly
I need sleeve bearing design process for large size machine.
And I want to know how to consider the axial load at sleeve bearing.
Who can help me ?

RE: Lubrication Equivalent Chart

Submit your loading to a sleeve bearing
manufacturer and they will come up with
a solution.  I am surprised that you are
not using a ball bearing for a large machine.

RE: Lubrication Equivalent Chart

I'm sure the shell website has something extensive but its been a while since I looked at it.
