does any body working on cellular automata based traffic modeling. i need its cronological historical development.where i can find this, can any body  help me in finding this.

I believe some research was done in the UK, in the South West from memory, where signals from mobile phones were used to develop o/d matrices. I may have read about in in Traffic Technology international, an excellent free magazine for transport professionals. The research provided very non-intrusive information (ie no delays caused) through simple monitoring of cell phones
