I plan to puchase a new modeling program in the near future and am considering buying H2OMAP.I would be interested in any comments from other modelers on this program or other programs. Also is there price too high are in line with other programs.

I personally like Heastad's WaterCad.  They all have weaknesses and strengths.

I use epanet which is free at epa.gov.  this program is unlimited in the size of the model and has most of the features the pricy programs have

If you are looking for functionality and low price (free)without bells and whistles, go with EPANET for steady state analysis.
