Creating a Half Section In Drafting

Creating a Half Section In Drafting

Creating a Half Section In Drafting

(OP)
Can anyone tell me how to create a half section.  I have a cylindrical part and want a cross section showing only the upper or lower section and the part centerline.  Also, is there an option to show just the area cut by the section plane.

Thanks

RE: Creating a Half Section In Drafting

Is there a problem with the half section feature? Not sure I understand you right. About showing only the sectioned area, go to preferences->view display->choose the view->toggle the section view button->uncheck background

My problem was with the half section feature.  I finally got it to work and unchecking the background gave me exactly what I wanted.

Thanks

Mike
