does any body know how you import a reference image (jpg or bmp) into AutoCad, so that it can be used as a guide for creating the drawing.

Hi,
I think you can resize or scale a raster image only. If you need use snaping to image's objects, imported *.wmf lets to do it.

If you just need the basics of importing, go to INSERT >> RASTER IMAGE or you can do a copy and paste into your drawing. You can then rescale the image to the size you need.

Just to add to that note ...
Make sure ...
imageframe=on

If this is off, you won't be able to manipulate the iamge.
