Printing a plot w/ HPGL2 on HP8150 using Catia

Printing a plot w/ HPGL2 on HP8150 using Catia

Printing a plot w/ HPGL2 on HP8150 using Catia

(OP)
First, excuse the crude plot drawing below. It should be a box w/i a box and arrows surrounding the inner box. We are replacing our QMS printers w/ HP8150 printers. I am having problems getting the plots to print out exactly the same size on the new printers and Edge-to-edge.

The user's were told to create and store their plots starting from the "+" at the bottom left and go up to the top right of the outside box. When the plot printed on the QMS printer, the actual print would be the area w/i the 4 arrows (including them). Some plots are 8.5x11 inches (216x279mm) and some are 8.5x17 (279x432).

We do a rotate 90 for the large plots. The HP8150 large plots print out shifted to the right and the small sheet plots are shifted up causing part of the plot to be truncated. In addition their scale is slightly off and I don't get true edge-to-edge. The top and bottom are .5inches from the edge. Is there a command available to pass in to tell it I want true edge-to-edge?

The QMS has "*EXPORT IBM-GL" and the HP8150 has "*EXPORT HPGL2".

I tried playing with the *SIZ and *MAP to get them to shift over and increase or decrease the sizes. The problem is when I change the length of the just one of the X or Y origins it also seems to impact the plots in both height and width. For example I had:
*SIZ 283. 431.
*MAP   0. -12.0 283.0 428.0
The width printed perfect and the height was short by 1mm. I increased it by 1mm. The height would print correctly, but the width also was effected and printed too wide even though I did not change it's value.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
