RE: Water lubricated journal bearing

My first thought was the cutlass bearing on the prop shaft of inboard engine mounted boats.  I know they are made from a bronze shell with a rubber liner, but I can't give you anymore specifics.  My advice if you want to persue this is to contact a marina supply retailer and get a name of a cutlass bearing manufacturer.  Then give these people a call and discuss the materials and design.  Good Luck!
