Weight of crane on concrete slab

Weight of crane on concrete slab

(OP)
Anybody know a site where I can have an idea on how to calculate the best way to distribute the weight of a 150 ton crane on a concrete slab.

RE: Weight of crane on concrete slab

Dont know any site but from experience we used sand as padding for the outriggers of a 500T crane used to lift a load of 60tons.Althought the crane was situated on a roadway this is just an example which may be of use to you. Check underground services before deciding best location for lift.

RE: Weight of crane on concrete slab

Have you tried this site yet http://www.craneoperator.com/cranes.htm
They also have a mailing list where you can get almost any questions on cranes answered.
