Vibrating table used in AS1289.5.5.1

Does NATA require the vibrating table used in AS1289.5.5.1 to be calibrated? I have an audit coming up in about a month and am not sure of the requirements.
Thankyou
Tony

Does nobody know if this is a requirement?

RE: Vibrating table used in AS1289.5.5.1

It's not a requirement for ASTM - to my knowledge.

A good question!

RE: Vibrating table used in AS1289.5.5.1

Tony,

I am not sure of NATA requirements, but generally if a particular standard of vibration is not specified, then NATA cannot require calibration to a standard.

You may want to cross check if there is a standard for vibrating tables (may be listed in reference in AS1289.5.5.1). Alternatively ring NATA and ask them they will advise you of what is required.

Regards
sc

RE: Vibrating table used in AS1289.5.5.1

it has recently become a requirement and NATA are requesting evidence that the table has met the calibration criterea, they have sent us a list of 4 companies who will do the job, ring NATA.

I can probably buy a new table for that price, but if it has to be done, it has to be done........  unfortunately.
thanks for all the replies.
