Hopper Design

We manufacture this very complex product Horse Shoe Nail.We need to develop some sort of Hopper Design which can feed the nails one by one into a chute or something so that we can automate the process of bevelling and pointing of nails.

Any good book on such Hopper design or ideas would help a lot.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Hopper Design

I have seen vibratory bowls used for this type of feed before, but don't have any information on them.  Try searching the net for vibratory systems.

RE: Hopper Design

I saw vibratory hoppers that were feeding screw blanks down a spiral track to a thread roller.
try looking up under screw machine manufacturer
sorry I cant remember the brand

RE: Hopper Design
