Ice Choking during conveying through pipe

Ice Choking during conveying through pipe

Ice Choking during conveying through pipe

(OP)
Hello friends,

We are facing the problem of ice chocking during conveying of ice from 1st floor to 2nd floor - 12M Verticak height.

Can you suggest some heating systems for melting ice.

Any other idea??

Normally chocking is at Valves and Bends in Pipi lines.

Warm Regards

SM Patil

RE: Ice Choking during conveying through pipe

To smp263899,
Choking, not chocking,in pipelines by pneumatic conveying systems is due to a change in regime, from dilute-phase to densephase.
This has to do with the load ratio µ:kgsolids/kggas.
The slip flow velocity is much higher than the freefall velocity of a singel partical.
SOLUTION:Increase air velocity invertical pipe,or deccrease load ratio µ!

-phase to dense-phase.
