Ball dia for axial thrust bearing

(OP)
Hi,

Can somebody give me the relationship for finding out the ball dias of axial thrust bearing.

RE: Ball dia for axial thrust bearing

If you know the overall height, the max ball diameter
would be nearly 1/2 the overall height.
If you can count the balls, a good approximation would
ber pi x bearing raceway diameter divided by 1.15 times
the ball diameter or 1.25 times the ball diameter if
it has a cage in it.  You have to rearrange the formula
to get your diameter.
