Anyone have any info on what a duranautic finish is?

RE: Duranautic

For certain clients, we specify a "duranotic" finish on the backs of highway guide signs, which are aluminum panels.  Quite honestly, I never knew what it meant either.    I found a brief definition here:

http://www.ecscase.com/pdf/ecstextbookglossary.pdf

"Duranotic Coating: Commercial grade alternative for hard anodizing of aluminum."

While performing a search, I also found instances where the word "duranotic" had a "TM" symbol after it, but I don't know who might own the trademark...

mweng;

In general:

A "Duranotic Finish" is an anodization process used for coating aluminum the end result is a dark bronze look.
