I realize that this is soemwhat of a leading question(due to fabrication requirements, geography, project requirements, etc.) but in general are the lead times for open web joists longer than the lead times for rolled W shapes?

TIA

RE: Steel Open Web Joists Lead Times

That's generally what we've found.  Usually joists take 2 to 6 weeks longer.  Some time last year it was worse.  It seems that the joist suppliers have caught up a bit, though.
