sewage force main modeling

I am working a flow model for a group of pump stations and interconnecting force mains.  Currently I am using the EPANET water main modeling propgram. Does anyone have experience in this field, and has anyting used EPANET or another program for this purpose? If so can you give me tips?

give us an idea of how big the system is you are dealing with, what are some of the hydraulic parameters you have to track....

BobPE The system will have about 12 small pump stations ( 10-200 gpm) and about 5 thousands feet of force main with about 10 interconnections between force mains. Site has almost flat terrain and will discharge into a large force main with a standing pressure of about 50 feet

RE: sewage force main modeling

There is a very active forum for EPANET users.

Try emailing them at the University of Guelph in Canada:

EPANET-USERS@listserv.uoguelph.ca

Log on and then post your question there.  I feel certain you can use EPANET to design or analyze the system you describe.

Good luck,

RE: sewage force main modeling

I have used AFT Fathom and Impulse for such modelling. www.aft.com

ABS pumps will model it for you using their software.
