Diode identification

(OP)
I have a diode that I need to find replacement for.  Diode has the following alph/numerics:  P6KE51A044.   Can anyone help me cross a replacement for it?

RE: Diode identification

You will finde the Datasheet at for the P6KE51A at
http://www.gensemi.com/product/tvs-news.htm

Its a Transzorb-Diode, a special kind of diode for limiting overvoltages. Try to get the original part because its difficult to find a replacement for such a kind of device unless you know exactly the reason for what purpose the device was selected.

The main problem are the last three digits of the type designation. This may be just a datecode or an optional lead-style but it could also be a special selection of the device.
