Internal error: Cannot initialize ASI

Internal error: Cannot initialize ASI

Internal error: Cannot initialize ASI

Has anyone ever seen this?  It came up right after installation and AutoCAD wont run - I get this error every time.  I have installed & reinstalled, tried different settings under compatibility wizard... with NO luck... please HELP!!

RE: Internal error: Cannot initialize ASI

From Autodesk...

Issue

When you start AutoCAD 2000 the following error displays: Cannot initialize ASI.
Solution

This error occurs because the Data Access components were not installed when AutoCAD 2000 was installed on your workstation.

To install the Data Access components:
On the AutoCAD 2000 CD, locate the file mdac_typ.exe in the Data folder.
Double-click on the file.
When prompted, select Complete Install for the Data Access components.
When the installation is complete, restart your workstation and start AutoCAD 2000.

well, I tried that and I still get the same error.  We have 10 computers at work with CAD on them and never had this problem, it's becoming so frustrating!

Any other suggestions?  Thanks for the idea!
