Creating an original hatch

Creating an original hatch

Creating an original hatch

(OP)
Hello everyone

My geotechnical engineer, needs me to locate his soil borings on a profile.  Which is fine but there multiple hatch patterns in his boring that he drew himself.  Most of them are in the 50 different hatch patterns that autocad provides, but there is a couple that are not in that 50.  Is there a way to create an original pattern and then use over and over again.

Thanks
Juice

RE: Creating an original hatch

Look in your AutoCAD customization guide in you help files. There should be a section for Hatches and Linetypes.

RE: Creating an original hatch

Try HACI
www.arbeit.ro/haci/

I used the free version that is already quite cool with simple hatchs, but if you need complex ones you should really buy it.
It is not expensive and it works perfecly.

Good luck.

RE: Creating an original hatch

you can turn theses hatch patterns into a block or wblock. w/ block these patterns will be save in the drawing in which you decided to make the hatches into a block.  W/ wblock, the hatch pattern will be saved as a separate file under a filename you selected; this wblock can then be access from any open drawing.
