HOW IS THE WHEEL TEST FOR CORROSION ANALISYS?

Wheel test is useful for pre-screening products for corrosion inhibitor selection. It is not particularly useful as a predictive tool unless your system involves a set of bottles rotating on a frame!

Corrosion rates and percent protection obtained from these tests are suspect. You can use the test to throw out unsuitable products then test the survivors using a more rigorous test such as RCE or autoclave or , if you're wealthy, a flow loop.
