MS Excel sheet not opening

(OP)
I have excel file on which i was working, while saving i got message that document not saved, memory low. So, i closed all programs and rebooted. Now, i am unable to open that file, i get a msg like" File is not in a recognizable format".
I have tried using text wizard- complete data is garbled.
I have tried importing in access- not possible.
I have tried cell linking what excel help says- i get error.
My question is;
Is there anyway i can get retrieve the data in the excel file.

Take care :)

RE: MS Excel sheet not opening

look for a backup file or auto-save file

RE: MS Excel sheet not opening

Also, if you have Norton's System Works try Unerase.  You may be able to retrieve some, or all, of your lost file.
