(OP)
I currently need some help with an essay on engineering economics. I was wondering what are the main topics involved and can anybody please give a simple ovcerview of the subject as I do not understand it very well.

RE: Engineering economics

I suggest you read the introductory chapters on one or more of the many text books in the field. You may wish to start with the first three chapter of "Engineering Economic Analysis" by Donald G. Newman.

RE: Engineering economics

There's a company at costbenefit.com - they sell software for the subject - might be more than you need- but they might be able to give some free overview if you e-mail them.

RE: Engineering economics

For a New comer to Engineering economics , I would suggest to gothrough the chapter in Marks & Baumeister Mechanical engineering Handbook . It gives a fairly good idea what it is all about . Girisun
