(OP)
I am Looking 4 a low $ dual-coil solenoid driver module alternative.
The current application runs a solenoid with 60A pull coil and 1A hold coil via a 'coil commander' module. This module is some non-electronic device which times the pull time to 1.5 seconds and prevents repetitive pulling which causes overheating of the solenoid and wiring. The module is costly and I am thinking there may be some way to use a simple circuit (maybe varistor and relay) to replace the timer module.
I wouls appreciate any ideas, especially if someone has done something similar before.
