Selection filtering in CATIA V5

Selection filtering in CATIA V5

Selection filtering in CATIA V5

(OP)
Guys,

This is my first post to this forum, so pardon me if missed any protocol.
Does CATIA V5 allows you to filter your selection, for example, if you need to select a centerline (which is not shown in CATIA V5), is there a command that will make only available centerlines pickable?

Thanks

RE: Selection filtering in CATIA V5

EDIT - Search or (Ctrl+F)
choose NAME, TYPE or COLOR
Search......Select

TIP:
denominate important elements in your part and then search (name)

RE: Selection filtering in CATIA V5

Hi,
when you use the tools to get some info about length, radius, distance... you may select in the dialog box some filtering options, you can also have filtering option when selecting if you use a macro...
But I don't know any filter on common selection exept the search option explained by vakantanka.

If someone knows about the word command, if there is something it should be there...

Thanks for the suggestions obviously there is not automatic "command" way to choose what i want the selector to recognize.

Thanks.
