Derived Configurations .... grrrrr

Derived Configurations .... grrrrr

Derived Configurations .... grrrrr

(OP)
Since derived configs were available, Ive been searching for a way to tell which, if any, configs were derived.

There is no 'parent' or 'child' feature for configurations,
and, contrary to what the  posted source code on the SW website says, there is no  "IsDerived" function.

I searched the help, the Object Browser, and poked thru the dll's... no luck.

I also tried dumping the current configuration into the
ModelDoc2.Selectionmanager to treat it as a feature.. and while it seemed to accept it as a feature, the getparent and getchildren calls returned EMPTY, while a visible check of the ConfigMgr showed otherwise.

surely someone has a workaround? All 'chewing-gum-and-duct-tape' methods would be welcome....
