HP7550a Print Driver

HP7550a Print Driver

(OP)
I have a Hellett Packard HP7550a plotter.  This is a very good and precise plotter.

But it seems HP no longer supports it, and I can't find a Winndows 98 print driver for it.

Does anyone have one and/or is there a print driver available??

Thanks in advance.

RE: HP7550a Print Driver

I had the same problems with an old CAlCOMP, I was going to buy the drivers from Winline www.winline.com but I got a new plotter before I did. I've heard a couple of people say they're good but I don't have any personal experience with them. If you go to their output devices page, the 7550a is listed as being supported, If I remember correctly they're not cheap though.
If you look at the very bottom of this page http://www.hp.com/cposupport/plotters/support_doc/bpp01400.html HP even suggests you use them....Mike

Thanks Mike.

I was aware of this site, but feel it is too big a risk to buy their CD rom (with all the drivers I don't need just to get the one I do), at a substatial cost ($199.00) -- then possibly find it still doesn't get the device working.

Even though it is a great plotter, it is so old that I don't want to risk $200.00 on a chance of getting it to work.

But again, thanks for your reply, I hope someone else may see this and know of an alternate source.
