STAAD output - FEA result sorting

STAAD output - FEA result sorting

STAAD output - FEA result sorting

(OP)
Looking for a way to sort through STAAD results and determine the max/min Mx & My moments from a model with over a thousand elements.

Would like this to be part of the output file and not require use of the post-processing tools.  In the past use of script files exported to spreadsheets has worked with members but does not seem to work with elements.  In addition, currently using STAAD-III so openstaad is not an option.

Thanks,

RE: STAAD output - FEA result sorting

Your best bet is to copy and paste to Excel, then manipulate your data there.  You can do this from the post-processor, w/o having to generate a report.

On most post-processor tables, if you double-click the left-top corner, it'll select all data in the table.  Then, on Excel, you can delete whatever columns you don't care about, reposition columns, sort, etcetera.
