lifetest (temperature) hardware specifikation
lifetest (temperature) hardware specifikation
(OP)
Hi, can anyone help me finding a specification sheet, where an elektronic hardware test is described in function of temperature and humidity?
In other words, what are the temp/humidity limits (upper and lower) and the duration on which hardware should be tested in order to have reliable hardware/product?
Many thanks in advance.

What are your requirements for reliability and under what conditions? Then, you figure what life test conditions are required.

RE: lifetest (temperature) hardware specifikation
My produkt is an office printer. This should work between 15 and 30°C.
Ok, I can test my hardware to work from 0
°C to 50°C, but for how long ? When can you decide, the hardware has been tested long enough, it will work for 5 years without problems?
What about humidity ? Should I test my hardware under variing conditions? or static? let say at 50% humidity?I don't have a clue!
I'm just curious, if somewhere out there exist a white paper for these tests ...
So, any help/link is appriciated.
regards,

Additionally, your suppliers might be able to give you information about the reliability of their products. These numbers can be input into MIL-HDBK-217 reliability calculations, although there are other models that can be used such as Bellcore.
