Hi,

Any good ideas for generating  an accurate 60Hz/50Hz square wave pulse for driving the clk i/p of a digital clock circuit.
Should be quartz crystal based.

Thanks,
samuels

RE: clock signal

What's wrong with a crystal oscillator and a counter?

RE: clock signal

How accurate?  Does it need a selectable 60 or 50 pps output?

I have a Cesium Beam Standard that will give you accuracy of 2 times 10 to the minus 13.  In case you need that kind of accuracy.

RE: clock signal

You just need an Xtal and a divider for that and maybe a flip flop buffer on the O/P to give you an accurate pulse WRT the rail.  Here's the whole thing in one chip
