RE: 11 x 17 printer is needed what is the best for de cals?

I know your question has been out there for awhile, but if you are still checking, maye this will help.  Do you need b&w or color?  If you are doing decals, you will probably want a laser jet rather than an ink jet so water will not wash off the ink.  If you are doing b&w, the hp LaserJet 5100 series printer is a good lower cost machine if you are working in a CAD environment and have relatively low volume.  If you would be interested in a used machine, I suggest you try Landmark Pinters at:  www.landmarkprinters.com  The have an extensive selection of refurbished HP LserJets and attractive prices.  If you are looking at doing higher volumes of printing, they also have the 8000 series for about $1,000 and it is a work horse.  Good luck.
