Shear Moduouls of Elasticity

(OP)
Can any one post the Shear modulous of elasticity for Industerial rubber (used in rubber couplings)?

RE: Shear Moduouls of Elasticity

If the value of Young's modulus (E) and Poisson's ratio (u) are known, the shear modulus (G) can be calculated.

G = E/[2(1+u)]

At any rate, the manufacturer should be able to supply these values for you.

RE: Shear Moduouls of Elasticity

The rubber formulations for couplings can vary quite alot by design. I recommend contacting the manufacturer for information.
