Solid Edge Part to STL: Mesh Sizes

Solid Edge Part to STL: Mesh Sizes

Solid Edge Part to STL: Mesh Sizes

(OP)
Hi!
I am a new SolidEdge user.  I have a SolidEdge part that I want to save as an .STL.  The Options allow me to control the upper limit for the mesh tolerance, i.e. the allowable angle and distance between the surface and the facets.
However, I do not see a way to specify a LOWER limit.
As a result, I am getting some very small facets. Is there a way to put a lower limit on the facet size?  Thanks!

Regards,
Mark Downing.

RE: Solid Edge Part to STL: Mesh Sizes

Hi mdowning,
What's the problem with the small facets (appart from the huge filesize)? There doesn't seem to be a way to control the minimum size, apart from simplifying your geometry ;-)

As a tip, try www.materialise.be, they have usefull tools for repairing and zipping (!!) STL-files.

Regards,

Pekelder
