4-BUTTON MOUSE

4-BUTTON MOUSE

4-BUTTON MOUSE

(OP)
I have a new 4-button mouse and I set the 4th button to act as my Ctrl. It works well in Windows but has no effect in PRO/E. Is there a way to get PRO/E to recognize the button?

RE: 4-BUTTON MOUSE

Hi,
I had a problem with a similar mouse like you. (I claimed it was a three-button, when actually it was a four-button one. For third button push the scroll wheel! ) Mine is a PS/2 one, but I used it with an USB adapter, too. In neither case I could, concerning pro/E, get the thumb button work as the by Logitech Mouseware assigned Strg-key.
Maybe there is a setting in some configuration files, but I don't know this.

RE: 4-BUTTON MOUSE

I have gotten it to work with a logitech. There maybe a setting that makes it different for different programs. For example it will be crt in Pro/E but atl in Word. I wwould make the default ctrl.

RE: 4-BUTTON MOUSE

I use a 5 button Microsoft Intellimouse Optical Mouse. I use the drivers provided, and set the two extra buttons to ctrl and shift. This enables me to eat my sandwiches whilst still working. Preiviously I was experience some cheese sandwich and mouse interface problems!
