What are differences Dy11 and Dy5 for a Transformer?

What are differences Dy11 and Dy5 for a Transformer?

What are differences Dy11 and Dy5 for a Transformer?

(OP)
Dear everybody,

Would you like to explain me about:
1. Dy11 and Dy5 connection in a transformer?
2. What are differences both of them?

Thank you for your attention and explanation.

Regards,
Jonos

RE: What are differences Dy11 and Dy5 for a Transformer?

D = delta connected winding
Y = wye connected winding

Capital letter = HV winding
Lower case letter = LV winding

Number = equivalent phase shift between primary and secondary, based on a clock dial (5 = five o'clock, or 150° lagging, 11 = eleven o'clock, or 30° leading)

Just remember, phase shift depends on phase rotation.
Dy11 vector group for phase rotation 1-2-3 becomes Dy1 for phase rotation of 1-3-2

see:  Thread238-11381

Hope it helps

A very Spartan description of transformer-vector groups is pages 15-16 of www.cooperpower.com/Library/pdf/S150301.pdf

Effectively, the Y-winding sets are 180° out of phase from each other—id est, “6 hours” on the clock face.

  Thats Correct.

  But, what is the diferent betwen both winding Dy11 and Dy5 (im talking about physicals form of the transformer winding).

  Regards.

Thanks everybody, but would you like to explain about the connection Dy11 and Dy5?
Where can I get the drawing/reference about that?

Regards
jonos

jonos, please (re)read the links provided.  Your question has been answered.

RE: What are differences Dy11 and Dy5 for a Transformer?

To Jose Henriquez.
The physical differences of the 2 secondary windings,each hooked up as single STAR .There are no differences,the out of phase condition is created by the connection of output leads H1/2/3s and X1/2/3.Magnectics will do the rest.
Thanks

To Everybody,
Thank a lot for your information and explanation.
