Anyone know how to activate a macro whenever a user performs a File Save?  Thanks in advance for the help!

RE: API - File Save Event

Use Part.Save2 False in Visual Basic and set a short cut key to something like Alt S.

Hope this helps

Bradley

RE: API - File Save Event

Bradley's suggestion is right on. Your only other option would be to create an add-in that loads with SW and monitors the Save event.

RE: API - File Save Event

dsi,
Can we create an add-in that loads with SW and monitors the Save event using Visual Basic?  Or does it have to be C++?

RE: API - File Save Event

Typically you would have use C, but I recall seeing an example of how someone did it using VB. I am not sure if functions the same, but I believe I saw it on usenet at comp.cad.solidworks.
