How can I split a bomtemp
How can I split a bomtemp
(OP)
I wan't to split a bomtemp with 50 parts into two bomtemps of 25 parts. The two bomtemps must be placed on two different sheets in one drawing.
When was the last time you drove down the highway without seeing a commercial truck hauling goods?

RE: How can I split a bomtemp
I found this old thread and wanted to ask why this wasn't a good practice? Is there a better way to do this per "korretje's request?
Our Manufacturing group wants to use "B" size drawings (11 X 17). And an assembly with more than 30 parts gets hard to read. So we have our multi-sheet B-size drawings with the parts list of 25 items on each sheet.

1) RMB the cell select Split.
2) Select the second BOM
3) Edit\Cut
4) click to other sheet
5) Edit\Paste
Just tested this in SW06 and it works fine.

RE: How can I split a bomtemp
You can try and place the assembly on the second sheet put another BOM in there and do as suggested above Hide X amount on one sheet and X amount on second sheet.
You should have your company consider the SW BOM, it makes BOM use much simplier.
