Problems sending V5 Re10 files back to V4.2

(OP)
I am in a difficult position.  My main customer is using either Catia V4.2.2 or V4.2.4 and isnt going over to V5 till the end of next year!  I need to talk to them as well as I can by doing all my work in V5Rell 10 and sending it back.  Has anyone had any problems with this?  Obviously we can bring V4 data over to V5 but its the other way that concerns me.  Please help

RE: Problems sending V5 Re10 files back to V4.2

Hi,

Your customer will see the V5 parts as catparts or volumes if you will save your work as model files. Another way is to send him files saved in igs format.

He can receive in this way only surfaces (faces), extracted automatically from your solids by the igs module.

The problem is if he have or not the igs license (in v4, usssualy  its a separate module, with separate license).

Hope this will help you.

Regards
Fernando
